National Train Your Dog Month: Treibball

by | Jan 27, 2012 | 0 comments

Continuing on with activities week!  There’s a new dog sport that people are getting excited about, and it’s called “Treibball” (pronounced try-ball).

I haven’t participated in triebball, so this is basically just to inform you that it’s out there, and dogs and handlers are really enjoying it.

So what is it?  It’s sort of like herding, but with giant inflated balls instead of livestock.  Here’s a video of “advanced” Treibball.

If you want to give it a shot, check out the American Treibball Accociation.  There are plenty of people doing this in the Denver area, and I would guess that most major citites have some Treibball going on.  So give it a shot!  Looks like fun!
